She is a faculty member at Erciyes University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing. Dr Bülbül completed her undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies at Erciyes University and received her doctorate degree in 2011 with her doctoral thesis titled “The effect of acupressure on nausea, vomiting and retching in pregnant women with hyperemesis gravidarum”. Her academic studies focus on women's health and diseases nursing, complementary and supportive practices in women's health, sexual health/reproductive health and evidence-based practices in nursing. She has many scientific publications at national and international level on the protection of women's health, supporting the birth process and developing holistic care approaches in pregnancy. Among the projects she conducted are the studies titled “The Effect of Premarital Sexual and Reproductive Health Education on the Knowledge Level and Marital Harmony of Newly Married Women” and “Determination of Risk Factors and Body Perception in Pregnant Women with Striae Gravidarum”. She also contributes to the training of new researchers in the field of nursing by supervising many master's and doctoral theses. In addition to his scientific contributions, he has also held various administrative positions and has actively contributed to academic quality processes as Deputy Director of the Institute, Head of the Assessment and Evaluation Commission and Member of the Accreditation Supreme Board. Dr Bülbül, who presented many oral presentations in national and international congresses on women's health, birth process and sexual health, was awarded the “Young Scientist” award at the “14th World Congress on Controversies in Obstetrics, Gynecology & Infertility” held in France in 2011.
