Prof. Dr. Oya Kavlak was born in Bursa in 1972. She completed her undergraduate education at Hacettepe University School of Nursing in 1993. She received her master's degree in 1999 and doctorate degree in 2004 from Ege University Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Women's Health and Diseases Nursing. She served as a member of the Board of Directors between 2014-2017, as a member of the Faculty Board between 2019-2022 and as the head of the Department between 2017-2021. Between 2019-2024, she served as the Editor-in-Chief of Ege University Nursing Faculty Journal. She is currently a member of HEPDAK board of directors. She has focused her academic studies on women's health problems, infertility nursing, postnatal care and maternal attachment. She has made significant contributions to the development of the discipline of women's health nursing with her research and scientific studies on these subjects. Prof. Dr. Oya Kavlak has 31 publications indexed in Web of Science, numerous articles published in national journals and numerous citations to these studies. She has undertaken editorial and authorship duties in various national and international books related to her field. She has taken part as an Organising Committee Member, Scientific Committee Member and speaker in National and International Congresses related to her profession. Prof. Dr. Kavlak, who actively participates in associations operating in the field of women's health, contributes to scientific and social studies to improve the quality of life of women. Currently, as a faculty member in Ege University Faculty of Nursing, Department of Women's Health and Diseases Nursing, she continues her education and training activities at undergraduate and graduate level and continues her studies to strengthen nursing practices for the protection and development of women's health.
